Make your own simple DIY telescope – This 3D printed adapter is intended for Zenit and similar lenses (Practica, Helios…) which has M42 mount screw. Additional adapter is for Canon camera (M42 to ‘bayonet’ system) and it is glued to 3D printed adapter. Other end is M12x0.5 mm for attaching to Mobius camera, with glued IR cut filter, so that it is possible to record outdoor. It is little bit difficult to find proper focus, and impossible without using some monitor attached to video output from the Mobius camera. I am impressed with video quality, but iris should be closed (higher F stop number, F/5.6 for example) to prevent chromatic aberrations. Tripod is mandatory, as you can see on video examples where I am holding it by hand – video is pretty shaky, although I tried to hold it firmly. Instead this 58mm/F/2, it is possible to use longer focal length to get even more magnification, but then it is even more difficult to keep camera steady.
