I am a huge advocate of mobile photography, and not because of the IQ (although it’s getting better with every new generation) . I love it because of its speed, efficiency and connectivity. You can edit, process and upload pictures and videos directly to your various social media platforms instantly. There have been various manufacturers coming out with higher end systems to work with the most popular smartphones to cater to serious photographers and videographers, and the iPhone seems to be the choice for many.

I have had the opportunity to use and test the bitplay Snap!pro case system (for the iPhone 6 and 6S) for a year, but I was never happy with the toy-like IQ of their lenses… until now. The HD EF18 ultra-wide angle lens for the Snap!Pro system is a serious attempt to cater to ones like me who want to take high quality images with the iPhone. I took it along with me to Hong Kong and was able to test it extensively as a stills and video lens. Please enjoy this review.

*This video was shot with the Fujifilm X-T2 and XF18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens in Classic Chrome film profile. Edited in iMovie on a Macbook Air 11″
